/tend/

I chose the name TEND because it is a verb.

To tend is to care for something over time.
To notice what is needed.
To nurture again and again.

TEND Creative Arts is a studio rooted in tending creativity.

This is not a space focused on productivity, polish, or performance - although those elements are certainly sometimes part of the process! It is a space for tending to ideas, to materials, to the body, to the quiet and sometimes messy processes that make creative life possible.

For me, creativity is about orientation. About staying in a relationship with myself and the world, particularly during times of change or disruption.

TEND exists as a container for that kind of creative practice.

Here, creativity is allowed to be slow. It is allowed to be unfinished. It is allowed to be private, communal, embodied, and experimental. Some work will be shared. Some will not. All of it is welcome.

This site is both a personal studio and an open door. It will hold reflections, creative work, and invitations into shared studio time for those who want to work alone…together.

If you’re here, you’re invited to tend to the sacred creativity of being human.

Welcome.
